to Finish
You don’t need to plan anything, know what to wear, or have any idea how to pose. That’s all handled. Here’s the whole process in six steps.
Step 1: Reach Out
- Send a quick inquiry through the contact form, or request a call if you'd rather talk than type.
- No sales pitch, no pressure.
- I respond personally, usually within a couple of hours. I'll be looking to set up a time to talk: the Consultation.
Step 2: The Consultation
About 20 minutes on Zoon or phone. (I've even met a client at a coffee shop.) I'll ask about you. You ask me anything, for anything.
What I want to learn:
- What's prompting this.
- What you're nervous about.
- How you want to feel in your images.
Questions I hear most:
- "The photographer is a man. Will I be comfortable?" Yes. A dedicated female assistant is with you the entire session. I address this up front because I know it’s on your mind.
- "What if I don’t know what to wear?" Handled in the next step. I’ll send you personalized outfit recommendations.
- "What if I’m not the type who does this?" There is no type. I’ve photographed women from 24 to 74, size 2 to size 24. The only requirement is showing up.
Step 3: Plan + Prep
After our consultation, I’ll create three personalized Outfit Idea Boards for you. These are curated looks based on your skin tone, body, comfort level, and the mood you described.
- Each board includes specific pieces, colors, and a note on why I chose them for you.
- Hair and makeup artist is coordinated and breifed on your style preferences.
- Every logistical detail is handled before you arrive.
Step 4: Shoot Day
When you arrive:
- Private, by-appointment studio. Already set up for you: your music, your drink, your space.
- My assistant gets you settled and escorts you to hair and makeup (first 1 to 1½ hours).
- No rush. Have a sip, grab a snack. Relax into it.
When we start shooting:
- I demonstrate every pose myself. You mirror it. No guessing.
- I guide your hands, chin, and expression. Down to the smallest detail.
- I’ll tell you when something is working: “That line, hold that.”
- I show you the back of the camera so you can see it happening.
- Your female assistant handles wardrobe adjustments, comfort checks, and energy the entire time.
Step 5: The Reveal
A week or so later, we meet again for a private viewing of your full image set. 40 to 80 photographs on a large screen. Just you and me. Or whoever you want with you.
- No rush. No timer. No pressure to decide on the spot.
- Browse your images. Feel what you feel.
- Then we walk through Keepsake options: albums, wall art, folios, and more.
- You pick what you love. You leave behind what you don’t.
Step 6: Delivery
- One sneak peek image sent within hours of your session.
- Digitals and Keepsake products delivered through a secure, password-protected process.
- No one sees your photos unless you choose to share them.
- Final delivery: typically 3 to 6 weeks after the Reveal, depending on international shipping.
